In addition to our luxury smoked salmon, Creeside offers Wild Scottish Venison. This is available as various cuts for the table or as a cold smoked delicacy, providing an opportunity to create both exotic and everyday dishes using wonderfully tender, wild roe, fallow and red deer.
Wild Venison is a very traditional meat which is fast becoming more and more popular today. It can have a very gamey taste and is then considered to be ‘high’, but here at Creeside, we like our Vension to have a distinct and subtle, yet not overpowering flavour.
Using modern methods of cooking, Wild Scottish Venison is mouth watering in a variety of everyday recipes, such as Roasts, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Stews and Casseroles and Steak dishes. More exoctic recipes such as Venison Curry, Steak Diane, Venison Wellington. Moroccan Venison can be absolutely spectacular, and an impressive gourmet dish for your table!. Even sausages and burgers become a healthy treat when Venison is used.
Fresh Wild Venison is available as whole joints, casserole, very lean mince, thick cut steaks, medallions, lean sausages and quarter pound burgers and is vacuum packed. Cold Smoked Venison is thinly sliced and vacuum packed in two sizes and all are delivered by next day courier.
